A ladder or perforated tray can be made in different materials and finishes. “GI”, “powder-coated” and “hot-dip galvanised” describe material or finish options—not a different tray shape.

Galvanising after fabrication can be specified for exposed installations. Agree coating requirements, drainage details and suitability for the actual environment.
Specify colour, surface preparation and coating system. Colour alone does not define corrosion performance; discuss indoor or outdoor exposure.
Specify the exact grade for the exposure and project requirements. Discuss 304 or 316 where relevant; grades are not interchangeable and appearance alone cannot establish suitability.

Provide tray type, width, side height, section length, sheet thickness, quantity with units, material grade and finish. Include accessory sizes, project location and required timeline where available.
Ladder trays use side rails and cross members to support cables with an open structure. Perforated trays use a perforated base. Selection depends on cable type, support, ventilation, routing and the project specification.
Discuss galvanised steel or a suitable stainless-steel grade, together with pre-galvanised, powder-coated or hot-dip galvanised finishes. Material grade, coating and thickness should be agreed for the project environment.
